The Senapt Technical Team, in collaboration with the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) Technical Team, conducted a joint review of the substation layout and structure to determine the appropriate installation points for the Mega X meters on the four designated feeders: Paynesville Red-Light, Paynesville Congo Town, Paynesville Du-port Road, and Paynesville 15 Gate. The review focused on identifying the feeder configuration, existing metering points, switchgear arrangements, cable routes, available installation spaces, and the physical structure of the substation. The assessment is intended to provide Senapt with a clear understanding of the station's layout and the technical requirements necessary to correctly position and install the Mega X meters on each feeder.
The joint review also enabled the Senapt and LEC technical teams to assess the accessibility, safety, electrical clearances, equipment compatibility, and other site-specific conditions that may affect the installation and operation of the meters. The teams discussed the most suitable locations for the Mega X meters and the required interface with the existing feeder infrastructure, with particular consideration given to minimising disruption to electricity supply and ensuring reliable measurement and data acquisition. The findings from the assessment will guide Senapt's installation planning and execution, while ensuring that the proposed meter locations are technically appropriate and consistent with LEC's operational, safety, and technical standards for the four feeders.
